The ketogenic diet is something of a novelty nowadays. People all over the world have been reaping the benefits of less sugar in their diets. It’s great for losing weight and feeling a whole lot better. Besides, it doesn’t feel like you’re on a diet at all. Give this a look. It’s a bread recipe that won’t make you gain weight. It doesn’t take long to prepare and bread itself is as delicious as can be.
The special ingredient
It’s all in the way you deal with the eggs and in the flour. You use almond flour. Separate the yolk from the white. You’ll need around six eggs. Then, beat the whites until they get a little foamy. What that is going to do is: the bread will gain in volume. Typically almond flour bread is a bit too dense and difficult to swallow, but you’ll counteract this by beating the whites.
The recipe goes like this:
- Tartar sauce teaspoon
- Two cups of almond flour
- A couple of teaspoons of baking powder
- Three or four tablespoons of melted butter
- Five or six eggs, follow the step above
- Just a bit of salt
Heat up your oven to a 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Deal with the eggs. Isolate the whites from the egg yolk and beat them. Add some tartar sauce and then keep beating until they gain on density.
Then, you’ll need some dough. If you’ve ever made bread before this won’t be a problem. Mix the flour, baking powder, and butter in a blender.
Add whites to mix after this and then you’ll have your dough ready for baking. You can test whether it’s ready or not by poking it with a fork. When done, take it out. Leave it out to cool and you’re set.
You’ll have around a day’s worth of bread by using this recipe. Modify recipe exponentially for more, or if unsure, use the same recipe for more. Bread is typically not part of keto diets. However, this recipe has it low on carbohydrates which is what the keto diet aims for.
