You all know that you need to avoid carbonated drinks, which are not only unhealthy, but also full of sugar, and we know how badly this affects our weight. The problem with drinks lies in the fact that we are not aware of their amount of calories. Somehow the liquid always looks less dangerous than the big hamburger and the fries.
You need to limit yourself to drinking such beverages only on special occasions, and when it comes to alcoholic beverages, they are proven to have a negative impact on our figure. It probably comes as a surprise that beverages we love to drink are simply not healthy. Of course, no one says you need to completely avoid them, but it’s good to be aware of everything you enter into your body through that one glass.
1. Special types of coffee
In recent years, coffee is offered in many more options than the well-known black with hot or cold milk, and for this we can thank the large cafes like Starbucks whose menus often look amazing. Most of their recipes are high-calorie types of coffee that will surely bring you unwanted excess pounds. But only those high calorie cafes offer it. For example, ice coffee that you find on shelves in supermarkets can contain over 24 grams of sugar per serving, and a variety of spoons of up to 500 calories per cup. Go back to the basics and choose a classic black coffee that will not endanger your daily intake of calories, especially if you do not put sugar and milk in it.
2. Fruit juices
Whether you drink freshly squeezed juice or that of a carton, fruit juices are not the best ally for your diet. Believe it or not, often certain cup juices contain more calories than your favorite carbonated beverage. But this does not mean that you should stop consuming fruit, as it is essential for your health. Always select freshly squeezed juice, and never add extra sugar in it and stick to only one cup.
Fact – Milk in coffee and morning oatmeal or cereals will be appealing to everybody. But milk as a drink will do it. In fact, you should see milk as a food supply, not as a drink that will refresh you and extinguish your thirst. For example, a glass of 200 milliliters of milk contains 130 calories (if it is milk with 3.5% milk fat) or 97 calories (milk with 1.5% milk fat) and 10 grams of sugar.
4. Ice tea
Have you replaced your favorite fruit juice with ice tea because, as the producers say, it contains little calories? Do not believe all those ads and fall on the buying options of this refreshing drink. In most cases, ice tea is a real calorie bomb. Make yourself your own refreshing ice tea, without fear of how much sugar it contains.
Smoothie is the perfect choice for breakfast or snacks that fits so well with the fast way of life. Often, because of this speed, you do not have time to prepare it at home but you decide to buy it from your nearest store. But be careful, they are enriched with sweeteners that increase the amount of calories in a bottle. Of course, it is preferable that you prepare the smoothie yourself, but if you are in a hurry, choose those that are prepared in specialized smoothies stores.
